The number one ranked Oswego State Lakers travel down Route 104 tonight as they take on the Brockport Golden Eagles at Tuttle North Athletic Complex on the SUNY Brockport campus.
Oswego (22-1-0, 14-0-0 SUNYAC) take on the host Golden Eagles who currently sits in 5th place in the SUNYAC standings with a record of 6-7-1 in conference and 12-10-1 overall. Brockport is led offensively by Sophomore James Cody (11-13) and Junior Ray Trembley (6-18) with 24 points each. Netminder Todd Sheridan has a .909 Save% with a record of 10-9-1. Oswego is led offensively by the line of Eric Selleck (18-30) 48 points, Justin Fox (11-30) 41 points as well as Chris Laganiere (16-25) 41 points. Behind the pipes both Kyle Gunn-Taylor and Paul Beckwith have been stellar for the top team in the land. Gunn-Taylor is 15-0-0 on the season with a .928 save percentage and a goals against average (GAA) of 1.68 Beckwith is 7-1-0 with a .931 save percentage and a GAA of 1.85
A night that Brockport would like to forget was back on December 4th in Oswego with the Lakers defeating the Golden Eagles 10-1. The Lakers have already clinched the number one seed and the Regular Season SUNYAC title with a 5-3 victory last Satruday at the Ice Plex in Morrisville against the Mustangs.
